what bbs system splsbbs is based on?
my friend need to set one up
he thought u modified some code, and he wanna know what did u modified

这里的code是open source的吧？偶在N多的bbs上看见都是同样的界面。

this is a difficult question for me to answer in a few words, we modified quite some parts and they were done step by step.

current bbs is vbb 2.8 if i didn't remember wrongly, actually modification of the forum is not difficult, if your friend would like to make his forum more attractive, he can install hacks like what we did, just follow the instruction of the installation, with some basic knowledge of html, php and mysql, it won't be difficult.

that's for sure, php is also famous for open source, vbb is damn common and you can download the latest version (should be 3.x) from web. besides of vbb, there are other forum types you can choose, some of them support asp instead of php, interface also very attractive.

我们用的是vbb2.2.8，最新版本是2.3.2。主要用php+mySQL。
有兴趣的话最好还是私下谈啦。

（不过如果不想花时间装hacks或修改原码的话我建议他使用phpbb，或者leoboard。phpbb也是用php和mySQL，leoboard是用CGI和mySQL，是目前使用范围较广的一个BBS。）
